Clara A. Brandt
Funeral services for Clara a. Brandt, 90, 2728 Ave. M. were at 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev.
Robert Amborn officiated. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mrs. Brandt died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec 25, at Fort Madison Community Hospital. She had been seriously ill
six weeks.
She was born Aug. 12, 1897, at West Point and was a life long resident of the area. She was a member of Sacred
Heart Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and the Fort Madison Senior Citizens.
On Oct. 27, 1825, at West Point, she was married to Herman Brandt, who died Sept. 19, 1980.
Surviving are a son, Eugene J. Brandt, Keysville, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Buckley, Eureka, Ill,
and Mrs. Robert (Rita) Groene, Fort Madison; a brother, Al Polmiller, West Point, 13 grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sons , a daughter, who brothers and two sisters. Her parents
were Henry and Mary Schulte Pollmiller.
Rosaries were recited at the King-Lynk Funeral Home by the Alter and Rosary Society Sunday afternoon and by the parish
Sunday evening.
A memorial is being established with the Fort Madison Catholic School System's Grant-inAid Fund. Contributions
may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.

Clarence John Brandt
FAIRFIELD--Clarence John Brandt, 80, of 106 West Lowe St. in Fairfield, died at 1 p.m. March 19 at Jefferson County
Hospital. He'd been ill for several years.
He was born on March 10, 1902, in West Point, Iowa, to Herman and Barbara Hohl Brandt. He married Ethel Dunn
on May 22 1930, in Fort Madison. He worked in tool and die at Fairfield Engineering and Manufacturing Co.
for 49 years. He and his wife lived in Fairfield for over 55 years. He was a member of the Evangelical Church
of Franklin, IOOF Lodge 4 and Modern Woodmen of America.
Service: 1 p.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home, the Rev Paul Vaughan officiating. Bural: Burge Cemetery
in New London.

Doris (Toots) Brandt
Mrs. Doris (Toots) Brandt, 77, at 817 S. Leebrick, Burlington,died in Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center,
Wednesday, Jan. 16.
She was born Aug 9 1907, in Burlington, to Ira and Harriett Southerland. She married Ira D. Brandt,
June 23 1932, at Aledo, ILL.
Mrs. Brandt was a retired employee of Merchants Wholesale Co. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the OES
Surviving; a son, Bruce, Keokuk; twin sister Dorothy Davis, Burlington; four grandchildren; and one grandchild.
Funeral 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sheagren Funeral Home, the Rev. B. Lawrence Sweeney; Memorial Park Cemetery.

Edith Brandt
Edith Brandt, 88, Ovid, Colo., died Saturday, Oct. 29, 1994, at Sedgwick County Nursing Home. in Juleburg, Colo.
She was born Oct, 18 1908, at Fort Madison, the daughter of Stephen A. and Catherine Hermes Krogmeier. She married Garrett Brandt at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison on Sept. 14, 1935. He survives.
In late 1935, Mrs Brandt and her husband moved to Ovid, Colo., where they made their home.
Also surviving are tgwo daughters, Helen Vosika, Ovid, and Irene Brandt, Denver, Colo; three sons, David and Ralph, both of Ovid, and Dennis, St. Paul, Neb; three sisters, Cornelia Thomas and Josaphine Wagner, both of Fort Madison, and Emerald Stevenson, Burnside, Ill; four brothers, Peter, Montrose, Alfred and Francis Krogmeier, both of Fort Madison, and Jerome Krogmeier, Mt. Pleasant; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sister, Hilda Fedler and Irma Bermeier, and two brothers,
Albert and Paul.
Rosary services were held Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Austin Funeral Home in Julesburg, Colo. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Julesburg, with Fr. Joe Hartmann officiating. Burial was in Ovid Cemetery.

Ethel Beatrice Brandt
Ethel Beatrice Brandt, 79, of fairfield, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 1990, Jefferson County Hospital.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Richard Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery at New Londion. Visitation will open at noon Saturday and family visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Memorials have been established to Faith Baptist Church and the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Brandt was born Sept. 28, 1910, in New London, the daughter of Will and May Smith Dunn. She married Clarence
John Brandt May 22, 1930, at West Point. He died March 19, 1982. Mrs. Brandt was a homemaker and a member of Rebecca Lodge.
Surviving are a brother, James W. Dunn of Mount Pleasant and a sister, Agnes Parcell of Fairfield. a daughter, Shirley Mae and a sister, Gladys Taylor, preceded her in death.

Frances Freda Brandt
Frances Freda Brandt, 68, West Point, died unexpectedly, at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, February 3, at the Lee County
Memorial Home.
The daughter of Herman and Barbara Hohl Brandt, she was born in West Point, March 7, 1904. She was never married.
Miss Brandt is survived by two brothers, Clarence, Fairfield, Ia, and Harold, Ft. Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral home, Donnellson. The Rev. Don Stoll will officiate. Interment will be in the Franklin cemetery, Franklin, Ia.

Gerhard Brandt
At rest; Gerhard Brandt who died after a few weeks illness at the place of Henry Timpe, July 6, 1897, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 21 days. He was a native of Nortrup, Hanover, Germany. Three brothers and one sister remain to mourn his demise. The funeral occurred July 8, 1897, at 10:00 a.m., Rev. A Schlueter officiating. Text I, Moses 25:8.

Mrs. Rosnia Brandt passe away at Augusta, this county, at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning, aged sixty-one. Deceased
was a native of the Buckeye state and came to Iowa in 1847. Deceased is survived by the sorrowing husband, two daughters,
Mrs. James Edwards and Mrs. James Jackson, both of this city, one sister, Mrs. A. C. Detrick, of this city and a host of
friends and acquaintances, who will keep her memory green. The funeral will be held at one o'clock this afternoon at
Augusta
