Known all to men
these presents: That I, Mary Cameron, of the City of Keokuk, Iowa being
of sound mind and body disposing memory to hereby
make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby
revoking any former wills heretofore made by me at any time.
Item 1: I direct that my erector heretofore named shall pay the
expenses of my last sickness and funeral and the costs and expenses of
the administration of my estate out of any assets of my estate.
Item 2: I hereby appoint my son George R. Cameron to be the
executor of this my last will and testament and hereby waive the giving
by him on any bond.
Item 3: I hereby give, devise and bequeath unto my said son George E.
Cameron the sum of fifteen thousand ($15, 000) dollars to be paid to
him by my executor out of any assets of my estate.
Item 4. I hereby devise and bequeath unto my four grandchildren; Mary
Louise Cameron, Elizabeth Cameron, Dorthy Cameron and Beatrice Cameron,
children on my son W.W. Cameron now deceased, each of the sum of five
dollars ($5.00), which shall be paid to them by my executor out of the proceeds of any assets of my
estate.
Item 5. All of my balance of my estate, real, personal and mixed of
whatever kind and wheresoever situated -------------- by give, devise
and bequeath unto my three children, George E. Cameron, James Cameron,
Jr. (our grandfather) and John Cameron in equal shares to be divided
equally then share and share alike.
[She wanted to sell and dispose of any real estate or personal
property. It was made and signed September 4, 1929.]
