Alvis, Henry

The funeral of the late Henry Alvis took place Sunday afternoon from his late home at Sand Prairie and his remains were interred
at the family lot at that place.  His death occured on Friday, December 4th of last week at the age ninety-three years. 

He has been a resident of Lee County for sixty years and was one of old settlers of this part of the state.  He was a veteran of the Seminole War in Florida and was filled of recollections and anecdotes of that stirring period of the early days of this country.
