      The Historical Society staff except mailings for genealogical look up requests and have a WONDERFUL STAFF OF VERY KNOWLEDGE VOLUNTEERS. They are located in an old church in Sigourney, Iowa. The Historical Society does not have internet or email access at this time, so they can only be reached by U.S. Mail.  To help keep the cost down ... when requesting copies, please send a SASE self addressed stamped envelope.

You will find vital records dating back to the early 1840's, obits, family histories, church records, & so much more!! The have a wealth of documents and histories of Keokuk County.

Membership is at this time a very nominal fee $5.00. For this $5.00 fee you will receive two newsletters per year!!
Fees include a nominimal $.25 per page coping fee and postage.
