There are more than 75 cemeteries in Keokuk County that have been transcribed and indexed. The Recorder's Office at the Keokuk County Courthouse owns a comprehensive index to the tombstones that have been transcribed, as well as the actual transcriptions. This collection also includes details about the history of and directions to each cemetery.
Keokuk County Researcher Dianne Underwood has posted the transcriptions for the following cemeteries on her personal website: Altman Cemetery, Vanorsdall Cemetery, Rock Creek Cemetery, Ollie (DeArmond) Cemetery, Humes Cemetery, Waddell Cemetery, Lutheran Cemetery (all German names), St. Joseph Cemetery, Rice Cemetery, White Oak Cemetery, and Coal Creek Cemetery.
