Miss French has placed Barton Loomis’s head under an X-ray, and she is now aware of the alarming fact that his cranium is absolutely hollow. Eva Rhatigan informed the biology class that grub-worms turn into butterflies. At the Freshman class party, Warren Lawrence appeared, for the first time, in his thrilling long trousers; and Chester Miller loaned Miss Lee one cent, which is to be paid back when the interest has accrued to one thousand dollars.

In a recent biology recitation, Vella Hester stated that birds have no feet; Elizabeth Hartman insisted that they have eight feet; and Harriet Clark did not know that a bird has a tail.

During the entire school year, we have been ably commanded by the faculty, and we hope that none of our number will be mustered out, but that all of us will be advanced with honor to the rank of Sophomores.
