| These
records show all of the original land patent numbers and grantees.
The patents were generally allocated by quarter sections,
quarter-quarter sections or government lots. A good share of
the patents went to developers/speculators and in return for military
service but many went to average citizens. Some of these
names are still around today. These records, provided by the Johnson County Recorders Office, advise they do not quarantee 100% accuracy of this information. Be cautioned the tables may not be 100% complete in terms of data and spelling of names. |
