Newton, Iowa High School Football - 1920

C. Ward Macy, 1920 football coach, played several years on the gridiron at Grinnell College, where he was captain of the football team in 1919. He was a good football player himself, and while in Newton, proved that he could teach others how to play the game the same way. Macy was a congenial fellow and had the art of making friends with every fellow on the football squad.
