A. The Maytag Company, Newton, Iowa. Home Laundry Specialists. Maytag's wringer washer plant is located on the site of the original factory near the business district. Company's headquarters Building is shown center foreground. Numerous buildings contain over 1,118,100 square feet of manufacturing floor space.
B. The Maytag Company, Newton, Iowa. Headquarters Building. Pre-cast concrete panels made from a sculptured mold design and faced with var icolored granite chips, form the exterior walls of Maytag's headquarters building. Accent and tri m is Italian mosaic tile. Unsupported canopy extends 54 ft. Over 500 persons representing manufacturing, marketing, accounting, personnel and administrative divisions are housed in this attractive office. Tours daily (except Saturday, Sunday and Holidays) at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
