Sold land in Stillwater, Saratoga Co., New York in 1828.1840 Census. John Miller lived in Mayfield Twp., Fulton Co., New York. Males living in household 2 ages 5-10 [George Washington & John], 1 aged 10-15 [Jacob], 2 aged 15-20 [Melvin & Steven], 1 aged 50-60 [John Miller, Jr.]. Females living in household 1 under age 5 [Sarah], 1 aged 5-1-0 [Mary Etta], 1 aged 10-15 [Nancy], 1 aged 15-20 [Rachel], 1 aged 40-50 [Maria DeGroff Miller], and 1 aged 80-90 [Rachel Newvile Miller-83]

Moved to Kendall Co., Illinois in 1842.

James Miller aged 34 male farmer born in New York. John Miller aged 17 male farmer born in New York. George Miller aged 15 male farmer born in New York, Sarah Miller aged 13 female born in New York.
Son Stephen Miller lived in next household on the enumeration list.

Burial: No tombstone can be found. He was probably buried in the Bristol Burying Grounds where sons Abraham and Melville were originally buried. However that cemetery must have been unused for some time as it was removed to Elmwood Cemetery in Yorkville with only 9 stones being found and removed.

Son, George W. Miller, obituary says his father died in 1853, but the Bible definitely says 1851.
