Obituary
Trenton Ray Capps, 18-day-old son of Trina Capps and Allen Penhollow of Newton, died of a heart ailment Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery near Newton.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his grandparents, Debbie and Chuck Rivet of Atwater, Calif., and Bert and Delia Penhollow of West Des Moines; and his great-grandparents, Arlene and Ray Boyer of Newton, Yvonne Vaughn of Merced, Calif., Sue and Roland Rivet of Clinton, Tenn., Elizabeth and Eckard Puetz of St. Louis and Dorothy Penhollow of Amboy, Ill.

393. Tammy Jean Romick
(Research):Tammy Jean Van Wyk, 41, of Pella died of cancer Friday at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Third Reformed Church in Pella, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Mrs. Van Wyk was born in Newton and had lived in the Monroe and Otley areas before moving to Pella six years ago. She was a salesclerk at Lee's Hallmark and a member of the Jefferson Elementary Parent Teacher Organization in Pella.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; two sons, Nathan and Zachary, both of Pella; a daughter, Jenna of Pella; her parents, Marcy and Larry Romick of Monroe; her grandmother, Marie Romick of Prairie City; and a brother, Barry Romick of Monroe.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella, where the family will be present from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Pella.~ Des Moines Register, Sunday, October 21, 2001.

Tammy Jean Van Wyk
PELLA – Tammy Jean Van Wyk, 41 of Pella died of cancer Friday, Oct. 19, at her home.Funeral services were held Monday at the Third Reformed Church in Pella with the Rev. Kevin Korver and the Rev. Drew Schmidt officiating. Burial was at Silent City Cemetery in Monroe with the Rev. John Van Den Berg officiating. Garden Chapel Funeral Homes in Pella handled arrangements.
Memorials will be accepted to Hospice of Pella.
The daughter of Larry A. and Marceda "Marcy" Dammeier Romick, she was born Jan. 7, 1960, in Newton. She grew up in Monroe and was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church. She graduated from Monroe High School and the Americana Academy of Beauty. On March 23, 1979, she married Marvin R. Van Wyk in Monroe. They lived in rural Otley and were members of the Otley Reformed Church. In 1995 they moved to Pella. Mrs. Van Wyk was a member of the Third Reformed Church, teaching Sunday School and a cell group. She also was active I the Jefferson Parent Teachers Organization in Pella. She worked at the Red Lollipop for many years and worked as a sales clerk at Lee's Hallmark Shop in Pella for more than five years. She spent many hours involved with church ands school activities.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Nathan and Zachary of Pella; a daughter, Jenna of Pella; her parents of Monroe; mother-in-law, Tunnet Van Wyk of Otley; grandmother, Marie Romick of Prairie City, a brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Katrina Romick of Monroe; and three nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father-in-law.
