Elza Jane Sims Stone

Died

Mrs. S. S. Sims died at her home in Sherman Township, Monday morning, April 24, 1888 at six o'clock, of Pleuro Pneumonia. The deceased was one of God's noble women, and her death will cause deep sorrow in many hearts and homes outside of own home and family circle.

Her two daughters, Mrs. George Ramsey and Mrs. Wm. Moffit, of Nebraska, were summoned by telegraph and arrived last Saturday, in time to see their mother alive, and with the other loved ones, received from her last farewell. Mrs. Sim's age was nearly 62. She leaves a husband, two sons and five daughters. The funeral services will be held at the home, this afternoon at two'o'clock, conducted by Rev. I. O. Kemble. ~ Newton Journal, April 26, 1888.
