Kellogg Woman Succumbs

Kellog, Iowa -- Mrs. Elijah Matheny, 47, died at her home southwest of Kellogg at 12:30 o'clock Friday morning, following an illness of several months.

Mrs. Matheny, whose maiden name was Louisa Davidson, was born, July 18, 1884, in Marion county. On Oct. 30, 1901, she was married to Elijah Matheny in Webster county, the family moving to a farm near here appoximately a year ago.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Dorothy and four sons, Theodore, Fred, Darrell and Normie Lee, all at home; a sister, Mrs. A. W. Osborn of Madison, Wis., a brother, Delbert Davidson of Manchester, S. D. and her father, Samuel Davidson at Lenore, Kan. ~ Jasper County Record, March 10, 1932, page 5, column 6.
