Eudora Agatha (Day) Halliwill
Born: March 31, 1890 Wiota, Cass Co., Iowa Eudora Halliwill Services FridayCOLFAX-- Funeral services for Mrs. George [Eudora Day] Halliwill, 71, a resident of Colfax for several years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Colfax Methodist Church. The Rev. Dale Nicholson, minister of the church will conduct the services. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery at Metz. Walters Funeral Home at Colfax is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Halliwill is survived by her husband; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Halliwill was a member of the Methodist Church and the WSCS of the church. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Day, she was born March 31, 1890 in Wiota, Iowa. She was married to George Hiram Halliwill July 2, 1935 at Marysville, Mo. Mrs. Halliwill taught in Colfax schools for a number of years and later in Lincoln, Neb., schools before returning to Colfax. Born: March 10, 18683 at Metz, Jasper Co., Iowa George Halliwill Rites Held TodayCOLFAX -- Funeral services for George Hiram Halliwill, 94, a resident of the Colfax and Metz communities most of his life, were held this afternoon at the Walters Funeral Home at Colfax. The Rev. Dale Nicholson, minister of the Colfax Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery near Metz. Mr. Halliwill was the last of eight children in his family. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Halliwill, he was born March 10, 1868 at Metz. He was married to Eudora A. Day July 2, 1935 at Maryville, Mo. He was preceded in death by his wife Nov. 28, 1961.
