J.A. Erickson is putting a steam heating apparatus in his new
building.
Fred Camp, editor of the Manly Pilot, was doing business
in town yesterday.
Matt Steichen, of Winona, came down yesterday to visit friends
and look after business matters.
A. Holland and Hon. G.N. Haugen left for Chicago last Saturday
evening on a short business trip.
Sheriff Heiny is obligated to drive southwest of Fertile today on
some official business. It will not be a real pleasant trip.
Northwood's sportsmen shot over 200 rabbits Saturday. Nearly all
of the shooting was done about three miles west of town.
The Ainsworth Orchestra failed to draw a crowd for the dance last
Friday night. Somehow dances are things of the past in Northwood.
Mrs. C.F. Littlefield was confined to her home a few days last
week with an attack of rheumatism, but is now able to be on duty
at the store.
Knudt Bakken, who has been sojouring in North Dakota for some
time past arrived in NOrthwood last Friday for a visit with
friends.
Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Stelson are the proud parents of a nice little
girl, their first born, who arrived November 5 to bless and make
happy their home.
Mrs. Wm. Phillips died at her home in Northwood November 6 at
twelve o'clock of nervous prostration. She was the wife of Wm.
Phillips and was 45 years and six months of age.
T.R.W. Flemming's mother died at Albert Lea last Sunday and will
be buried in the Northwood cemetery this Tuesday afternoon, short
funeral services to be held at the Baptist church.
Mrs. Geo. Boynton and mother, Mrs. Scott, went to Mason City last
week. Mrs. B. returned Friday leaving her mother there for a
short visit before going to Chicago where she expects to spend
the winter.
