DIVORCE SUITS FLOOD COURT
Nine Petitions Filed—Two Decrees Granted to Women.

Two divorces have been granted in district court and petitions in nine other cases have been filed.

The decrees were awarded to Mrs. Edythe Cleveland, 27, from Harry G. Cleveland, 36, on a charge of cruelty and to Mrs. Bertha A. Ross, 42, from James  Ross, 44, on a similar charge.  The Clevelands were married December 15, 1930, and the Rosses December 31, 1914.

Cruelty is charged by seven women seeking divorces.  The cases follow:
Mrs. Alice Hinz against C. Sherman Hinz, married June 6, 1926;
Mrs. Mae Maloy against Frank J. Maloy, married December 21, 1931;
Mrs. Esther Reinbold against Frank J. Reinbold, married October 26, 1920;
Mrs. Fern Olson against Argo Olson, married July 3, 1919;
Mrs. Iola Morrow, waitress, against Archie Morrow, farmer, married September 12, 1935;
Mrs. Rose Workcuff against Jenkins Workcuff, married May 8, 1924;
Mrs. Verna Asplund against Fred Asplund, married March 24, 1932.

Mrs. Myrtle Maxfield is seeking a divorce from LeRoy Maxfield, who she married September 17, 1927, on a charge of desertion and also that since deserting her he has committed a felony and is serving a sentence in the penitentiary at Fort Madison.
A divorce suit based on desertion also has been brought in court by Edward J. Feeny against Mrs. Ethel Feeny.  They were married June 23, 1923.
