DARVILLE RITES ON THURSDAY
Services for Aged Man to Be Held in Morningside Church
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Morningside Presbyterian church for George Darville, 83 years old, a resident of Sioux City 32 years, who died Tuesday [Sept. 2, 1930]. Rev. J. Frank Reed, of Tekamah, Neb., will officiate at the church services and members of Monahan post, American legion, will have charge of the services at the grave. Burial will be in Graceland Park cemetery under the direction of Christy's funeral home. Mr. Darville, who lived at the Sydney apartments, had operated the elevator at the E & W building for 32 years. Death was caused by apoplexy. Mr. Darville was born in 1847 in London, Eng., and at the age of 7 came to the United States, locating at Maringo [sic--Marengo], Ill. He enlisted in the army at 15 and served with the Seventeenth Illinois cavalry during the civil war. At the close of the war he returned to Maringo [sic--Marengo] for a year. Later he moved to a farm near LeMars, where he lived until 32 years ago, when he moved to Sioux City. Elsie Reeves, of LeMars, and Mr. Darville were married in 1869. He was a member of the G. A. R. A daughter, Mrs Olive Burriff [sic--Burris] preceded him in death four years ago. Surviving Mr. Darville are: The widow; five daughters, Mrs. O. L. Britton of Tyndall, S. D., Mrs. D. J. Murphy of Sioux City, Mrs. Marion Graves of Ashland, Ore., Mrs. R. C. Jackson of Englewood [sic--Inglewood], Cal., and Mrs. Grace Torkelson of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, Harrison M. and Lynn George, both of Chicago; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

75 Attend Annual Reunion of Baker Family on Sunday
The annual Baker family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baker, near Little Sioux, Ia., Sunday. About 75 members of the family were present.

V. E. Baker, Bloomfield, Ia., is president of the family organization, and Mrs. C.L. Rowe, Sioux City, is secretary and treasurer.

Towns represented at the reunion included: Council Bluffs, Ottumwa, Des Moines, Mondamin, Turin, Mystic, Plano, Orson and Pisgah, Ia; Rapid City and Timber Lake, S.D.; South Sioux City, Neb; and New York City.

OBITUARIES.
JOHN HARRINGTON.

John Harrington, 56 years old, of Dixon, Neb., died in a Sioux City hospital Sunday following a heart attack.  He had been ill only a short time.

The body will be taken to Vail, Ia., today by Westcott’s funeral home for burial.

Surviving Mr. Harrington are:  Three sisters, Mrs. Frank Maguire, of Vail; Mrs. Joe Garvin and Mrs. Patsy Garvin, of Dixon, and two brothers, Michael, of Dixon, and Daniel, of Eureka, Ia.

MRS. C. B. WOODWORTH.
Mrs. Cora Bell Woodworth, 64 years old, died in her home, 505 Market street, Sunday, after a lingering illness.  She had resided here 10 years.

Mrs. Woodworth was born in Wisconsin, March 13, 1866.  She is survived by her widower, Bert, and three daughters, Mrs. M. Bliss [Martha], Des Moines; Mrs. O. G. [Ora] Flint, and Mrs. Frank [Gladys] Smith, both of Sioux City.

The body is at Perasso Bros., pending funeral arrangements.

Iowa Boy Fatally Injured
Northwood, Ia.—(AP)—Accidentally thrown under the wheels of a wagon by which he was walking in order to keep warm, Harvey Hanson, 13, son of Mrs. Hannah Hanson, living on a farm near here, was fatally injured Saturday.  Harvey died late Saturday night, having suffered a crushed chest and internal injuries.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at Perasso Bros. Funeral home for Mrs. C. B. Woodworth, 64 years old, who died in her home at 505 Market street Sunday.  Burial will be in Graceland cemetery (sic-burial place, Logan Park Cemetery, Sioux City, per her death cert.)

IRENE TROBAUGH
Death Monday claimed Irene Trobaugh, month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Trobaugh, in the residence at 1601 Goldie avenue.  The parents survive.  The body is at Westcott’s funeral home pending funeral arrangements.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR FARM HOME BANDITS.
Police are searching for a man and a woman, who, they believe robbed two farm homes near Washta Sunday.  Police here were informed that the automobile used in the robbery was stolen in Sioux City.

The farm homes looted by the bandits were those of Warren Carver and Levi Diller.  The Carver home was ransacked and about $4 in cash was taken.  A $125 radio and $35 in cash were taken from the Diller home.
