MAURICE BANK BANDIT IS SUED.
Bond Company Wants Car Dingman Bought on Installment Plan.
Recovery of an automobile said to be in the possession of Elmer Dingman, confessed Maurice bank bandit, is sought through a petition for a writ of replevin in district court by the National Bond and Investment company, an Omaha concern.
Dingman purchased the car from a Sioux City automobile dealer October 24, 1922, for $608, agreeing to make monthly payments on the price. As security he gave a chattel mortgage on the car, the petition says. Subsequently the Omaha concern purchased the mortgage.
Dingman has failed to make the payments, the petition asserts. Mrs. Dingman, who is made defendant with her husband in the action, is helping him to conceal the car, it is asserted.
