SEIZE WHISKY STILL.
Sheriff Conducts Raid on Brown’s Lake Cottage.

Four gallons of whisky, a still and a coil were seized in a raid on a cottage on north shore of the island in Brown’s lake Tuesday morning by Sheriff Paul Beardsly, Deputy Sheriffs Tom McDevitt, Charles Wilcox, Ray Mahr and Federal Prohibition Officer W. B. Striker.

The still was discovered running full blast on the kitchen stove.  Charles Schultz, Ove Cates and Nellie La France Dingman, said to be operating the still, were arrested and locked up in the county jail.  They will be charged with illegal manufacture of liquor.

Five gallons of mash found on the premises were destroyed by the officers.
