FIGHT OVER DIVORCE CASE.
Knife Wound Is Result of Heated Discussion.
An argument over the relative merits of a divorce action now pending in the district court started a fight between J. V. Darr, 520 Steuben street, and William Dingman, 508 Steuben street, with the result that the former suffered an ugly six-inch gash in his right side, said to have been inflicted with a knife wielded by Dingman.
The row occurred late Tuesday afternoon in an alley between Fifth and Sixth streets, in the rear of Steuben street. Darr was taken to the police station, where his wound was dressed by Dr. S. D. Carney, police surgeon. His condition was reported to be not serious.
Darr was lodged in jail, where he is being held as witness. Dingman had not been arrested at a late hour last night.
According to Darr, Mrs. William Dingman, his sister, is now suing her husband for a divorce.
