Mrs. Miles Thumlea, of Fort Dodge, Ia., will arrive today for a visit in the home of her mother, Mrs. J. B. Spalding.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Curran announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Mabel Curran, to Mr. Dillard Holloway, of Merrill, Ia. the wedding took place Thursday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. A. E. Zimmerman officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Holloway have departed on a wedding trip and will make their home in Merrill on their return.

Mrs. M. K. Bishop announces the marriage of her daughter, Miss Mary Elizabeth Bishop, to Sergeant E. G. Sanem, of Fort Riley, Kan. The ceremony took place Friday, September 6, at Manhattan, Kan. Sergeant and Mrs. Sanem will make their home in Junction City, Kan., for the present.

Robert Munger, Mrs. Paul Caldwell, Mrs. Franz Shenkberg, Miss Ann Bruen and Mrs. G. A. Waitt, will preside as luncheon hostesses at the meeting of the Wednesday Athletic club at the Sioux City Boat Club.

A committee of five, including Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Berry, of Casey, Ia., are guests in the home of Mr. Barry’s sisters, Miss May Berry and Miss Margaret Berry.

Miss Florence Matthews returned last evening to New York City, where she will continue with her studies at Columbia.
