RAILROAD MAN ARRESTED.
Wife Fears He Has Gone Crazy When He Chases Family.
Hugh Curran, 923 Wall street, engineer of a switch engine in the Omaha yards, aroused the neighborhood last night at 7:30 o’clock by chasing his family out of the house with a gun and threatening to kill them and anyone else who might attempt to interfere.
A riot call was sent to the police station and several policemen responded in the patrol wagon. In the meantime Curran had gone to the yards and got on his switch engine.
Curran’s wife told the officers she thought her husband and gone crazy, and they returned to the station for further instructions. Officers Walker and O’Keefe were detailed to go after the man. He was taken by surprise when they climbed into the cab of the engine, and was overpowered before he could bring his gun into play. He was disarmed and taken to the station and put into the women’s ward. His wife promised to sign an information against him.
