A quiet home wedding occurred on Sunday afternoon, when Mr. Geo. Louis Lothrop, youngest son of Senator J. S. Lothrop, was united in marriage with Miss Adelia W. Hauser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Hauser, of Merrill, Io.

The ceremony was performed at the residence of the groom’s father, 2203 Pierce street, at 1 o’clock, Rev. E. H. H. Holman officiating.  At the appointed hour the young couple were ushered in to the front room of the house, where the minister had already taken his position.  They were unattended and in a few minutes the words were spoken which made them man and wife.  Only the immediate relatives of the young couple were present at the wedding.  After the ceremony all present sat down to an elegant wedding breakfast, which Mrs. Lothrop had prepared for them.  Mr. and Mrs. Lothrop remained in the city over Monday, and then went to Mr. Lothrop’s farm near Sergeant Bluffs, where they will live.
