Fred R. Fulton is home from Grand Forks, Dakota.
John N. Headington intends to invest in some blooded horseflesh
of high quality.
Mart Brown, son of C.P. Brown will develope his decided taste for
mechanics and machinery in one of the large machine shops of
Minneapolis, whither he has gone.
Rev. E. Shaub, German M.E. pastor, has opened a German school
over B.F. Smith's store where he will teach reading writing, and
spelling, and give instruction.
W.R. Hutchinson of Decorah and J.P. Grein of Sioux Falls have
purchased a corner, on which they expect to erect a two story
building.
H. Bullard of Ossian recently had three fingers of his right hand
terribly mangled by the sickle of a mowing machine.
A glass ball shooting contest took place in Calmar the eleventh
between Woodman and Strayer on one side and Olson and Gelseh on
the other. The former were victors by one ball.
