FIVE GENERATIONS MEET.
Pictured are five generations in the Ramsey family
residing in Ottumwa. They are Mrs. A. J. Curry, seated left; her
great-great grandchild, Shirley Ann Ramsey, center; and Shirley
Ann’s great grandfather, W. D. Ramsey of Ellis avenue;
standing the baby’s father, Gerald Ramsey (at left); and her
grandfather, Verle O. Ramsey, Hill avenue.
Mrs. Curry makes her home with her son, W.D. Ramsey. All in the
picture were born in Iowa and have resided in the state
continually with the exception of Mrs. Curry, who spent a little
more than two years on a Missouri farm.
[Transcriber note: Per family history research, Mrs. A.J. Curry
was at one time married to Jesse Ramsey. Her maiden name &
dates are as follows: Abigail Jane Aldridge, daughter of David
Nicholas Aldridge & Mary Evans Wells. Abigail was born 08 Sep
