FREMONT SCHOOL JANITOR CALLED
Robert MKibben Succumbs At Packwood Suddenly On
Thanksgiving Day.
Packwood.Robert McKibben, 72 years old, of Fremont, died
suddenly at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Charles Davis, at Packwood. Mr. McKibben was janitor of the
Fremont school for eighteen years.
Mr. and Mrs. McKibben had been to the Christian church at
Packwood for dinner. About 4:30 he and Jarrel Davis, father of
Charles Davis, returned to the Davis home. Mr. McKibben fell in
the Davis yard. He had complained after dinner of not feeling
well, it was understood.
Mr. Davis called help. As there was no telephone service at
Packwood Thursday, a doctor was sent for, but Mr. McKibben was
dead when he arrived.
Mr. McKibben is survived by his wife, two sons, Earl of Fremont
(Ottumwa rural route), and Herbert of Oskaloosa; two daughters,
Mrs.. Sylvia Dimmitt of near Highland Center (Ottumwa rural
route), and Mrs. Davis of Packwood; by two sisters and some
grandchildren. Funeral services will probably be held at Fremont
Saturday or Sunday. The body was removed to Fremont.
VISITS SISTER.
Milton Mrs. William Sell of Ottumwa is visiting
her sister, Mrs. Gay Morgan.
Mr. and Mrs. Sela Cooley and daughter Mary and Mr. and Mrs.
Reuben Tritten of Rochester, Minn., are visiting relatives and
friends.
MOTOR TO MEMPHIS.
Bloomfield. Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Beuce have as their
house guests their son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. C. M.
Beuce of St. Louis, Mo. Today Mr. and Mrs. Beuce, their guests
and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Danison motored to Memphis, Mo., where they
were to spend the day with Mrs. Minnie Beuce.
VISIT MYSTIC.
Mystic William Rolando of Newton arrived Saturday
to spend a few days with his daughter, Mrs. Glen Bates and
family.
