AGENCY
Loss Lanning, who was operated on Wednesday morning at the
Ottumwa hospital, is getting along as well as can be expected.
Mrs. W. C. Wilhite and daughter, Miss Lela from near Batavia,
visited with friends here Thursday.
Mrs. Jas. Connelly entertained a few friends at 1 oclock
luncheon Thursday at her home northwest of town in honor of Mrs.
Louie Newell of Matsfield Green, Kans.
The funeral of the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith of
Missouri was held at the home of Willis Smith southeast of town
Thursday afternoon at 2 oclock conducted by Rev. M. D. Cox.
Interment took place in Agency cemetery.
About eighteen high school students enjoyed a bob sled ride to
Batavia Tuesday night.
The annual meeting of the Agency cemetery association will be
held in the town hall Monday February 14 at 1 p.m. for the
election of officers and such other business as may come before
the meeting.
Mrs. W. H. Rodibaugh, who has been on the sick list is improving.
Mrs. Reed was shopping in Ottumwa one day this week.
Helen Forney, Alberta and Maizie Lewis, Faye Davis, Grace McNiel,
Edna Nordgren, Ethel Curtis and Milton Bradshaw of Batavia
visited school at Agency, Tuesday.
Dr. W. S. Johnson and Miss Wava Lee Owens spent Tuesday morning
at the Agency high school.
Miss Edna McEwen delightfully entertained the freshman class of
the Agency high school at a part at her home Friday evening. The
time was spent with games and music. Refreshments were served.
Fourteen members were present.
Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Bandel and children spent Sunday at the Jesse
Cremer home.
