William Ramsey, who was born April 29, 1856 in Keokuk county on a farm near Ollie, departed this life at the Mount Pleasant hospital February 26, 1915, aged 58 years, 10 months and 3 days.

On August 29, 1878, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary E. Gardener, who preceded him in death March 8, 1906. To this union were born four children, Mrs. Dora Oliver, Frank S., Logan and Thomas E. Ramsey. He was again united in marriage to Miss Minnie May Clark December 19, 1906, and to this union was born one son, Gerald F. Ramsey.

Those who are left to mourn his death are his wife and five children; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Shafer of Fairfield and Mrs. Mary Cleavenger of Packwood; two brothers, Alfred Ramsey and B. Ramsey of Batavia; three grandchildren, Orie, Goldie and Fern Oliver.

Funeral services were conducted from the residence Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, by Rev. Robert Comyn, pastor of the Methodist church at Chillicothe.

The near relatives and friends of the deceased wish to heartily thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy shown in this the hour of their bereavement.—Contributed.
