SRUCK ON HEAD BY BIG ICICLE
____
Alexander Hartley Sues Milwaukee Railway Company
For $1500.

____
Alleging that he sustained permanent injuries by being struck on the head by a falling icicle, Alexander Hartley, by his attorney, F. G. Orelup, filed a petition with the clerk of the district court today asking for $1,500 damages from the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Co.  Mr. Hartley states in his petition that he was employed as hostler and that it was part of his duties to take out engines from the round house at the Junction.  He says a large icicle fell from the eaves of the roof and struck him on the head, cutting a gash about two inches long in his scalp and making him unconscious.  He says the accident occurred December 14 and that he has since been unable to work and that his nervous system was greatly injured.  He also sues for $2.85 which he claims is due him as wages.
