CLAIMS HUSBAND TRIED TO KILL HER.
Mrs. Josie Hough Applied for a Divorce from Sylvester Hough.

Mrs. Josie Hough has filed a petition with the clerk of the district court asking for a divorce from her husband, Sylvester Hough.  She alleges that on two occasions he attempted to shoot her and that her life has been endangered as the result of his cruel and inhuman treatment.  She also states that she has five minor children and that for several years she has had to support herself and family.  She asks for the custody of her children and judgment against the defendant for the costs.  W. W. Rankin is her attorney.

ALLEGES DESERTION.
W. E. Harvey, by his attorneys, Fullen and Ayres, filed a petition with the clerk of the district court today asking for a divorce from his wife, Amy Harvey.  The petition states that they were married in Hardin county, Mo., November 6, 1897, and that on Sept. 1, 1901, she deserted him and has since refused to live with him.
