HE IS FOUND GUILTY.
J. D. Willhite, who was arrested here some weeks ago, charged with burglary and chicken stealing, was given his trial in the district court Wednesday and found guilty as charged. He will receive his sentence Monday next.
Willhite will be remembered by our readers as the man who broke into the chicken houses of W. J. Boyd and others and was captured the next day with the stolen goods in his possession. He has given the sheriff considerable trouble during his confinement at the County Jail, at the time of his arraignment he broke away from the officer who had him charge and lit out for the hills and liberty, but was captured. His attorneys put up the insanity plea, but it was a little too coarse and Judge Fee ruled it out.
