One, H. Copple, a member of the Ottumwa Republican police force, was arrested yesterday on complaint of Jas. Hobbs, charging the said Copple with adultery with Nancy Hobbs, wife of complainant. He was arraigned and a friend went on Copple’s bond for his appearance when wanted. And so the matter stands as this writing. Copple was truly loyal, and we believe was handy with a search warrant.

William Wishart, 24, and Emma J. Ranley, of Ottumwa;
Eugene M. Burton, 28, and Bell P. Gift, 23, of Ottumwa.
