PEARL JOHNSTON FILES APPEAL WITH SUPREME COURT IN DES
MOINES
Des Moines, July 24, (AP) Pearl Johnston, who was
convicted last year of manslaughter, appealed her case to the
supreme court today.
She was convicted of slaying her husband in Mount Ayr on June 7,
1934. District Judge H. H. Carter sentenced her to eight years in
the Rockwell City reformatory and to pay a $1,000 fine.
