BOEVER-SCHMIDT

A pretty June wedding occurred at St. Joseph’s church at LeMars on Tuesday
morning at 8 o’clock when Miss Theresa Boever, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Boever of 707 Fulton St. was united in marriage to Mr. John J.
Schmidt, of Granville. Rev. Father Pape performed the ceremony. The bride
was attired in white satin and wore a tulle veil. She carried a prayer book
bouquet of white rosebuds. Miss Lena C. Boever, sister of the bride, was
maid of honor and wore honeydew crepe de chine and carried a bouquet of
Ophelia roses and white carnations. The groom was attended by his brother,
Wm. Schmidt. After the ceremony the wedding party repaired to the home of
the bride’s parents where a sumptuous wedding dinner was served to the
immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The bride is a graduate of
the LeMars high school, has taught in the schools of Plymouth County a
number of years and of late has been at home in LeMars, where she is very
popular among a large circle of friends. The groom is one of Granville’s
industrious young men and has established a reputation for himself of
honesty and integrity among his associates. The young couple left the
following day by car on a trip to Minnesota lakes and will spend some time
with the groom’s grandmother and other relatives at St. James, Minn. The
newlyweds will make their home in Alton where the groom will be engaged in
business. The young people take with them to their new home the best wishes
of a host of friends.
