Ed. Morrissey Dies Suddenly

Ed Morrissey, who for the past summer has been employed on the John Murphy
farm near Hull, dropped dead at the home of John Murphy Sr. on 3d Avenue at
8 o'clock Tuesday evening, the cause of his sudden demise being heart
failure.

Mr. Morrissey, who had been in ill health for the past two weeks, arrived in
Sheldon late yesterday afternoon, accompanied by John Murphy Jr. After a
consultation had been had with local doctors, they went in a drug store to
have a prescription filled. While in the store Mr. Morrissey complained for
feeling faint, and asked Mr. Murphy to take him to the home of his father in
his car.

While taking off his coat at the home of the senior Murphy, Mr. Morrissey
remarked that he was smothering and with these words went into a faint,
passing away a few minutes later. The body was taken to the Sioux
Undertaking Parlors, and word sent to the deceased man's relatives in
Nebraska.

Mr. Morrissey was a man of 55 years of age and had apparently been suffering
from heart trouble for several years. His home was in O'Neil, Nebr., to
which place the body will be sent for interment. He was a hard worker and in
the short time he had been in Iowa, he had made many friends in the vicinity
of Hull.-Sheldon Mail.
