Mrs. Ralph Mieras and Miss Mamie Reigel went to Alton Saturday afternoon for a visit.
      J.S. Mieras was an Orange City visitor Wednesday.
      Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Mieras were at Rock Valley Monday until accompanied home by the former’s sister, Mrs. J. Oldenkamp, who visited here with relatives and friends.
      Wednesday afternoon, J. L. Mieras discovered the Great Northern railroad bridge just north of town to be on fire. By prompt action on his part and hard work by the trainmen and section men, the bridge was saved from total destruction and was soon repaired in so far as to permit train to run.

Mrs. F.A. Mieras and Mrs. C.L. Jackson were at Sioux Center Friday.
      Mrs. Ralph Mieras and children left last Saturday for a visit with relatives at Woolsey, S.D.
      Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Mieras of Marion, S.D. arrived here Saturday for a visit with friends and relatives.
      Word was received here last week that M. Mieras of North Yakima, Wash. is suffering with cancer of the stomach. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Mieras arrived here for a visit.

Last Friday while J.M. Mieras was out in his auto delivering mail, he had the misfortune to break one of the front axles of his car. The faithful horse was brought into service again to bring him home.
      J.M. Mieras is now taking a vacation from his duties as mail carrier. His brother, J.L., is now taking care of his patrons.
      Adrian and Gertrude Oldenkamp, of Rock Valley, visited here with grandma Mieras.
      Ralph Mieras has his wrist in a bandage, the result of accidentally running the tine of a pitchfork into it.
