Nic Ernster was at Sherrill’s Mound recently to attend the funeral of his stepfather, John Kintzle, who died at the age of sixty-eight years.
Word reaches Remsen from Council Bluffs that Miss Anna Toller is dead. She was a daughter of Mrs. Toller—formerly Miss Mary Nemmers of LeMars—whose husband John Toller died two years ago.
H. Nothem died Tuesday morning of this week after an illness of several weeks. He was a prominent and respected citizen of the community and will be widely mourned. His aunt—Mrs. Durst from Waukegan, Illinois—arrived to visit the Nothem family a few days before his death.

Miss Abbie Van Wechel from Orange City visited a few days at the home of H.M. Mensink.
Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Mieras left last week for Greenleafton, Minn., for a couple weeks visit.
