WAYSIDE GLEANINGS.
Dr. Frank McMahon aged twenty-six years of LeMars died in Sioux City Sunday afternoon from fatty degeneration of heart after a protracted spree. He graduated last week from the Sioux City college of medicine with high honors. His people are prominent residents of LeMars and the circumstances surrounding his death make it peculiarly sad.

WAYSIDE GLEANINGS.
Mrs. A. Kaffer of Garland, South Dakota, brought the remains of a daughter that died twenty years ago to the Akron Catholic Cemetery to be buried beside those of her husband and it was found that in viewing the remains of both husband and child, they were in a remarkably fine state of preservation.
Dr. B. A. Wilder, probably the oldest homeopathic physician in point of practice in the United States, died at Sibley last week. He had been practicing medicine for sixty years—forty of which were spent in Iowa.
LOCAL OCCURENCES.
Peter Miller of the Joe Hildesheim farm southwest of town—was called to Chicago Wednesday to attend the funeral of his father.

WAYSIDE GLEANINGS.
Dr. Rippey of Kingsley died in Colorado last week of quick consumption. He went to that place about a year ago for his health. The remains were brought to Kingsley for burial.
Chris Roths of LeMars died Friday last after suffering for more than a year from cancer.
