WAYSIDE GLEANINGS.
Vera Kruse—aged five—of Struble died a few days ago after a short illness of erysipelas.
Mrs. Kate Hansen was called to Oyens Sunday by the death of her sister, Mrs. Emil Urban, who died last Saturday in St. Joseph’s hospital from the effects of a surgical operation. The funeral was held last Tuesday. The Hansen family attended the last rites.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Heemstra who reside on the Coon DeJong place north of town
had the misfortune Sunday to lose their baby by death. The little one was
but a week old and its death was a severe shock to the mother who was quite
seriously ill.
