Henry Kline was instantly killed last Friday night near Crathorne, Plymouth
County, by falling under a wagon load of coal, which passed over his head,
crushing the skull. Kline was a farm hand and worked for Heinrich Hurren,
about thirteen miles northeast of LeMars. Huren and Kline brought two loads
of corn to Dalton and were returning home loaded with coal and when near
Crathorne. Huren, who was ahead, missed Kline and the team came running up
without a driver. Parties from Crathorne accompanied Huren back to look for
him, and he was found lying by the roadside with his head crushed, the wagon
wheel having passed over it, killing him instantly. He was a single man
about 45 years old.
