At her home near Remsen, May 22, Mrs. Scheidler, a cousin of Nic. Scheckel
of Alton, during a temporary state of delirium, attempted to take her life
with a razor, cutting her throat badly, causing death a few hours later. She
leaves a babe of five days, which Mrs. Scheckel will care for. Mr. Scheckel
and family went to Remsen to-day to attend the funeral, which took place at
11 a.m.
