Girl Overcome by Gas Fumes of Car
Maxine Ewin, nine years old, of Ottumwa, Ia., was
overcome by gas fumes from the automobile in which she was riding
with her parents through East Moline at 12:40 p.m. Sunday and the
machine was halted at Sixteenth street and Eighteenth avenue and
an East Moline physician was summoned. The girl recovered after
getting fresh air and attention and the journey was resumed.
