 At 7;20 o'clock Monday evening occured the death of Mrs M. L.Neuhaus at her home, 513 West 9th st.
 She was born in New York City April 4, 1840, being at the time of her death nearly 79 years of age. She had been a resident of Davenport for the past 50 years, having come here from New York in 1863.
  In 1870 she bacame a member of Edwards Congregational Church and was its oldest member at the time of her death. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her death.
  She was the mother of nine children, five of whom are living. John of Evanston, Ill., Theodore W. of Davenport, Joseph of Kansas City, William C. of Baxter Springs, Mo. and Mrs W.B. Worrall of Davenport. 20 grandchildren and five great grandchildren survive.
   The funeral will be held from the family residence at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. Friends are invited to the services at the house. Interment in Oakdale Cemetery will be private.
