Wedding at St. Joseph's Church

The marriage of Miss Tillie W. Westendorf, the daughter of Mrs. Katherine
Westendorf of 1437 South Street, to John J Haase of Davenport, took place
Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock at St. Joseph's church, Rev. John Scherf
performing the ceremony and celebrating the nuptial mass.

The children of St. Joseph's school sang the hymns of the mass, one of the
Sisters presiding at the organ. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss
Margaret W and George Haase, brother of the groom, was best man. The bride
was dressed in a gown of white voile over white satin, the skirt draped in
overskirt effect and the bodice trimmed in lace. Her flowers were bride's
roses in shower arrangement, and he long veil was caught with orange
blossoms. The bridesmaid was in white voile over yellow silk and she wore a
yellow satin bando with yellow roses in her hair and carried a boquet of
yellow tea roses.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride on South st.
following the ceremony, about 40 guests being entertained. Here all was in
the bridal colors and the table was done in yellow and white with lillies
and roses. Mr. and Mrs. Haase left this morning for Denver, Colorado
Springs, and other points west. They will [be] home after July 1 at 1424
South st. The groom is a machinist employed by the Milwaukee Railroad at
Nahant.
