Died
At his residence in Jackson co, on the 9th ult, Col. Thomas COX,
well known throughout the Territory, and identified with its
early settlement. The Col. Served the public in the Legislature
both of Illinois and this territory, and his sudden death will be
greatly lamented by all who knew him.-Transcript
