The 16th inst., by Rev. C.E. BROWN, Mr. Jacob ROWE to Miss Mary P
OWENS of Scott county.
Died
Near Davenport on the 15th inst. Edith wife of Edward RICKER of
winter fever. For nearly twelve months she has evinced an
attachment to the cause of Christ, and during her sickness, which
she bore with christian fortitude, a calm resignation, exhorting
thse around her to be ready for the great change for which she
flet herself prepared, especially her husband, with whom she had
been united but for the short space of three and a half months.
Evincing the uncertainty of all earthly happiness. Her funeral on
the 16th was attended by many friends. Sermon by Rev. Mr.
WOODRUFF.
