--Mesdames F.M. McLAUGHLIN and J.E. ROGERS left for Anamosa
Tuesday evening in response to a telegram informing them of the
sickness of their sister, Mrs. TESKY, who had suffered a stroke
of paralysis, the third we believe, and very little hopes are
entertained of her recovery.
--Lucy MILL gives up her position as a telephone operator after
working for 4 months.

Mrs. F.M. McLAUGHLIN returned home Saturday morning from Anamosa.
There was no perceptible change for the better but she was
obliged to return on account of her father who is quite poorly.
Mrs. ROGERS remained to assist in the care of her sister.
