Edward Austin McCauley
Edward Austin McCauley passed away in peace Friday Morning March
28, 1930 at the state hospital at Glenwood, Iowa, to be with the
Lord whom he loved and served many years. He was born January 21,
1901, at Avoca, Iowa, being 29 years, 2 months and 7 days old. He
made his home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe McCauley.
Without previous warning word was received stating that on March
28 about ten o'clock he had a sinking spell with acute bronchitis
and some heart complications from which he ralied, and a second
attack a little before eleven o'clock from which he did not
rally, passing away Friday morning. He is survived by his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe McCauley, of Avoca, and his
father, John L. McCauley and his family, in the west, other
relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held from St.
Mary's church of Avoca, with Rev. Father Alberts officiating.
Monday morning, March 31 at 9 o'clock, with interment in the
Avoca cemetery.
