HOUGHAM - Funeral services for Nelson L. Hougham, 74 years old, one of the oldest pioneers of Polk county, who died at the home of his daughter Mrs. F.A. Hoopes, 1848 Dean avenue, Sunday will be held at Salover and Hamilton's undertaking parlors, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services will be in charge of Rev. De Witt Foster and Eaton Lodge No. 264, A.O.U.W. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. Mr. Hougham was born near Ball's ford between Des Moines and Avon Jan. 28 1849. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Mrs. Cora E. Hoopes of Des Moines, E.E. Hougham of Baltimore MD; P.G. Hougham of Houston TX and George H. Hougham of York PA.
