TWO WOMEN QUARREL, ONE IS SHOT TO DEATH
Sioux City Shooting Result of Fight Over Affections of Mere Man.
SIOUX CITY, Ia.—Nov. 22.—Mrs. Ella Nicolls, 46 years old, was shot and instantly killed late last night by Mrs. Martha Oxberger, about the same age.
Mrs. Oxberger, is the divorced wife of Henry Nicolls, husband of Mrs. Nicolls.
Both women have been married and divorced twice and have been living with their husbands. They have been near neighbors.
Last night Mrs. Nicolls accompanied by a daughter from another marriage, went to the Oxberger home hunting for Nicolls. He was found hiding in a bedroom.
A quarrel ensued and Mrs. Nicolls is said to have slapped Mrs. Oxberger. Mrs. Oxberger took a revolver from a drawer, fired one shots, and Mrs. Nicolls dropped dead and a bullet squarely through her heart.
Both Nicolls and Mrs. Oxberger are being held without bail.
